Building on Shantou University's research foundation in network architecture, data processing, and computing power scheduling, and combining it with Shantou's local industrial structural advantages, the laboratory conducts research centered on network agents + big data + heterogeneous computing power collaboration, serving Shantou's multiple goals of "industrial digitalization,""manufacturing intelligentization," and "governance smartization."
Relying on the high-performance network infrastructure and multi-source data environment of Shantou University's Network and Information Center, the laboratory focuses on the theoretical construction and key technologies of "network agents," aiming to promote the evolution of networks from "controllable" to "adaptive" and "evolvable," and to build intelligent network nodes and systems with capabilities of perception, decision-making, and execution. Relying on high-performance network architecture and an intelligent computing platform, the campus can achieve real-time collection, intelligent processing, and secure management of massive educational data, providing a solid foundation for AI applications in multiple fields such as scientific research, teaching, management, and services. Relying on multi-party cooperation among Shantou University, local government, and industry enterprises, the laboratory effectively supports the establishment of the key laboratory and core technology breakthroughs, providing a technological engine and intellectual support for the intelligent development of regional industries.
