Xinchao Movement
Sponsored by the LKSF and launched by the Shantou University (STU), the Xinchao Movement aims to promote and help local cities better understand the Chaozhou-Shantou culture through various activities of this Movement. In addition, this Movement also accelerates international cultural exchange and cooperation, break old cultural obstacles and help the Chaozhou/Shantou area to foster a new culture blending new elements with traditional characteristics. Meanwhile, with the help of the University's scientific back-up and creative potential, the Movement will speed up development of economy, tourism, commerce and trade in this area, dotting its culture industry with distinctive features. The STU designs this Movement in the hope of consolidating its leading role in this cultural movement by rebuilding its identity of innovative and knowledge-oriented entity. Moreover, it will actively participate in the campaign to develop the Chaozhou/Shantou area, improving its role as a think tank and social responsibility to spread knowledge. |
