University Director's Forum
For advance strategic objective of internationalization in an all-round way and fully utilize valuable academic resource of directors Shantou University, the University Director's Forum is held in Shantou from 28th to 30th of June.
There are five lectures just as follows: 1) "Art of giving " from honorary chairman, Mr. Li Ka Shing
, President of board of directors of Hong Kong Cheung Kong River industry Corporation (Group); 2) "Inspiration and Brain" from the director of Shantou University, vice-president of the Chinese Technology Association, academician Wei Yu of Chinese Academy of Engineering; 3) "Challenge to University Education of Knowledge Society" from senior advisor, president of Hong Kong University Cheng Jieming; 4) "National Science Plan and the Medium-long-term Development Plan Strategic Research" from the director of Shantou University, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor of Beijing University Chen Jiaer and, 5) "Medical Scientific Research after Human Gene Order-checking" from the director of Shantou University, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Zhejiang University medical college Ba Denian.
The five excellent and deep lectures of five directors have introduced the front question of each research field and development prospect to students of Shantou University in simple terms. The directors had erudite knowledge; their words are humorous and rich in the philosophic theory; the audience is very benefited. It made the academic atmosphere on campus of Shantou University much stronger. The lectures received the warm welcome and favorable comment of teachers and students.
